Haven't seen it yet but I've been looking to get spoiled.
I read in the movie one husband comes to believe & he convinces his husband to sacrifice him for the world to survive, but the *book* has them all refusing to sacrifice anyone in their family. They walk out of the cabin/into the apocalypse together.
My fannish background in Supernatural has me *loving* the book ending. Let the world burn, hahaha yessss
