Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz, a major global business figure as a result of his energy drinks empire, has died aged 78.
Mateschitz was the driving force behind the establishment of what became the global market leader in energy drinks.
He used the fortune created by that to set up a Formula 1 team that has become one of the leading forces in the sport.
His death is not thought to threaten the future of Red Bull or its sister team Alpha Tauri.

Red Bull's Sergio Perez held off Ferrari's Charles Leclerc to win an incident-packed Singapore Grand Prix run in treacherous wet-dry conditions.
Title leader Max Verstappen finished seventh after a frustrating race that included a major error from the Red Bull driver.
Verstappen can win the title in Japan next Sunday, but would need the results of Perez and Leclerc to go his way.

Max Verstappen is next to cross the line and while he beats Carlos Sainz's time, he can't beat the crowd favourite Charles Leclerc. 0.145secs between Leclerc and Verstappen.

Charles Leclerc outpaced F1 title rival Max Verstappen to take a convincing pole position at the French Grand Prix.
Leclerc held an advantage of just 0.008s over Verstappen following the opening runs of Q3 but pulled 0.304s clear of his main rival with his final flying lap after receiving a tow from Ferrari teammate Carlos Sainz.
Sergio Perez was a further tenth behind his Red Bull teammate in third, while Lewis Hamilton was fourth for Mercedes, 0.893s off the pace.

Lewis Hamilton said he had a "good day" after setting the second fastest time in Friday practice at the British Grand Prix.
He was 0.176 seconds slower than pace-setter Carlos Sainz's Ferrari, ahead of McLaren's Lando Norris and Red Bull's Max Verstappen.
Mercedes have introduced a number of aerodynamic upgrades that they hope will reduce their deficit to the pace.
Hamilton said the team had "definitely made an improvement".

Alfa Romeo's Valtteri Bottas headed Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton in an inconclusive wet first practice session at the British Grand Prix.
They were the only two drivers to set a lap time on dry-weather tyres at the before it was curtailed by a red flag caused by Aston Martin's Lance Stroll.
The Canadian lost control on slick tyres on the damp track at Copse and beached the car in the gravel without major damage.
Only 10 drivers set a lap time.

Ferrari's Charles Leclerc took his sixth pole position in eight races this season with a scintillating lap at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Leclerc saved the best for last with his final lap, beating Red Bull's Sergio Perez by 0.282 seconds.
Perez beat team-mate Max Verstappen with his final lap, by just 0.065secs.
Ferrari's Carlos Sainz was quickest after the first runs in final qualifying but a series of mistakes on his final lap left him fourth.

Red Bull and Ferrari are set for a tight battle for pole position at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix after Sergio Perez and Charles Leclerc ended final practice just 0.07 seconds apart.
Max Verstappen, who was third fastest, looked set to at least match their times with a lap towards the end of the session before he was hit by traffic around the castle section.

Ferrari hit back in second practice at F1’s Azerbaijan Grand Prix as Charles Leclerc displaced Red Bull’s Sergio Perez at the top of the order.
Leclerc trailed Perez in Friday’s opening session at Baku but they swapped places during the qualifying simulation runs in second practice..
Current points leader Max Verstappen was again slower than his Red Bull teammate on his way to setting the third-fastest time, 0.356s adrift of Leclerc’s timesheet topping effort.
