Chris Nee is the creator of the hit kids show Doc McStuffins. Nee describes herself as a gay “relatively butch” woman who tried her hand at acting before realising there were [a lot] more opportunities for her behind the camera. She created Doc McStuffins to be the show she wished existed when growinng up and it was the first pre-school show to feature and LGBTQ couple in 2017.

Hello everyone! 👋 I decided to join Mastodon. I work as a translator and linguist, but I've loved drawing since I was little and I really want to dedicate more time to art—including animation, which I love!
I might start posting my own drawings here, but my main goal is to support other artists' work and discuss animation and related fields.
I noticed people queue just because others are queueing. If you're one of them, I'm curious to know what made you decide to join in.
More episodes available on my Instagram, so please check out my page! https://instagram.com/readcatnips/
I saw #TheHouse movie on Netflix. And it was fascinating! It does some great things with stopmotion animation. And the acting is superb.

But what is really wonderful are the stories. All 3 are a bit different. But effective at what they do. And after the movie ends, my friends & I kept talking about & discovering depths and details within the plots. It was disturbing, up lifting, gross, sad, scary, and even has a song and dance number. TOTAL recommend.
